Toddler Time was so much fun today!  I had four little friends join me today and the room was filled with joy and fun!
I was so impressed with the way all four played independently, with a friend or with an adult!
"A" and "L" played with each other in the tent.

"R" took out the alligator's teeth with his grandma after "J" was done with it. "A" even came to play with him!

"J" pulled out the cylinders and placed them on the board.

This was our first book to go with our theme of Witches and Goblins. We really worked on saying big words like "mummy, vampire, goblin".  We either clapped out the syllables of the words as we said each one. (mumm-y, gob-lin, vam-pi-re)
Clapping out words as we say them helps us to say the words slower and to say them correctly.  I encourage all of the adults in the room to do it too and to practice it in daily life.

Who Said Boo? was a fun book because the children got to take turns picking up the flaps in the book to reveal another picture.  We had to do some inferencing by using picture clues to determine who said boo.  We even read the word "Boo!" several times on when it was repeated on a page.

Letters B and W were our focus today.  I was surprised when both "A" and "L" correctly told me the names of letters even before I asked!  Wow! Smart girls!!!!  We used our "kissy lips" for the sound of W and popped our lips when we said the sound of B.

Pass the Witches Broom Stick was the movement game we played today.  It is similar to Musical Chairs except we passed the broom around the circle while the music played.  When the music stopped we cheered for the person that was holding the broom stick. (instead of making them "out")
