Preschool Pages

Trucks and vehicles was our theme today!  One friend joined me ("J"), but "B" was home sick!  Feel better "B"!

Our first story was Chuck's Truck.
This is a great rhyming book!  We had fun rhyming, locating the Tt's in the words and predicting what would happen to Chuck's truck once all of the animals got in!  "J" predicted the truck would 'break down" and he was right!

Letter Tt was our focus letter and sound.  We felt how our tongue taps behind our teeth trying to get out when we say the name and the sound of the letter.  We pointed out that the letter T is made with sticks, no circles.  "J" was great at explaining that to me!

Our art activity today was making a truck with simple shapes.  We used squares, rectangles and circles.  We painted our  glue on with Q-tips to work on our fine motor skills and to avoid big globs from squeezing the glue bottle.  We even made a capital and lowercase Tt on our trucks!

We ended our time with  Can You See What I See? It's a great "I Spy" type book  for  little ones.  We worked on naming each vehicle we searched for and made sure to say each syllable as best we could (am-bu-lance, fire-truck).
