Preschool Pages

Barnyard Tales was the theme today! Both of my friends "B" and "J" came today!

Our first story was The Cow Loves Cookies
After I read the title "J" used his questioning skills and asked "Why?".  So we had a purpose for reading the story, to find out why the cow loves cookies.  In the end we found out that the farmer and the cow share cookies and milk every day for lunch.  I wonder where the farmer gets the milk?

We worked on the letter Ff when we read and sang The Farmer in the Dell.
"B" and "J" worked with their grandparent to highlight the F and f within the text of the song.  We also payed attention to our top teeth sitting on our bottom lip when we say the sound of the letter F.
We were so interested in letters that we worked on B and C too. We talked about how letters are made of sticks, circles and curves. We "pop" our lips out when we say the name of B and when we say the sound of B.  We felt our tongue move on the roof of our mouth when we said the sound of C.
We did the chant Did You Feed my Cow?. The kids were supposed to answer with "Yes, ma'am" but "B" put a new twist on it by saying, "no, ma'am".
After a half hour of fun the boys were ready to head upstairs to the library for play and to check books out.
